Free Printable Gingerbread Gift Tags (PDF) – Free printable gingerbread gift tags are an easy way to finish cookie tins, teacher gifts, and neighbor packages without a last-minute store run. The sets below are hosted by the designers, offered at no cost for personal use, and sized for a standard U.S. home printer.
Print on cardstock, cut, punch a hole, and tie them on with baker’s twine or ribbon. Most sheets are U.S. Letter (8.5 by 11 inches). In the print dialog, choose Actual size or 100 percent, not Fit to page, so the tags do not shrink.
Where to download free gingerbread gift tags?
These five pages are the most useful current sources. Each one is free. A few ask for an email before the file is sent. None of the links below is a paid product page.
Gingerbread initial letter tags. Rose Clearfield offers a full alphabet of gingerbread-letter Christmas gift tags. You get six 8.5-by-11-inch pages, nine tags per page, with at least two of most letters (fewer of Q, U, X, Y, and Z). There is no email gate. The file is a ZIP of the pages, for personal and classroom printing only. Download it from her free printable gingerbread initial letter Christmas gift tags page.
Illustrated gingerbread holiday tags. Carla Schauer Designs hosts a free gingerbread holiday gift-tag PDF (about 5 MB, file name holiday gift tags.pdf). The set is meant for cardstock, then tied on with twine or ribbon. The download page was last refreshed in 2023. Get the file from Carla Schauer’s free gingerbread holiday gift tags.
Ten gingerbread tags on one sheet. Hale Grafx has a single personal-use PDF of Christmas gingerbread gift tags, 10 to a sheet, about 433 KB. They are simple to cut and write on, and they work well on cookie jars and baked-good boxes. Grab them from the free printable Christmas gingerbread gift tags page.
Storybook gingerbread man tags. Once Upon a Printable gives away 18 Little Gingerbread Man tags in color and black-and-white, in more than one size. The free set is sent after you join the email list. A larger 78-tag pack on the same page is a paid upgrade, so use the free download only. Start at The Little Gingerbread Man gift tags.
Watercolor gingerbread house tag. Vector Dad’s free Christmas set includes a frosted gingerbread cottage tag with To and From lines, plus 23 other designs. Files are direct PDFs in U.S. Letter and A4, with no email wall. Personal, family, and classroom printing is allowed. You may not sell the artwork. The gingerbread house file is on the free printable Christmas gift tags page.

How to print gingerbread gift tags at home?
Use white cardstock in the 65 to 110 lb range (about 175 to 300 gsm). Regular copy paper works in a pinch, but it curls and tears on a gift.
Set the printer to high quality and Actual size. A color inkjet handles illustrated tags better than a basic office laser. If a page looks faint, print a single test tag before running the whole sheet.
Cut with scissors or a paper trimmer. A 1/8-inch or 1/4-inch hole punch near the top is enough for twine. Many designs, including the Rose Clearfield letters, leave the hole to you so you can skip it and tape the tag on instead.
Write names with a fine permanent marker or a gel pen. On dark icing details, a white paint pen shows up better than black ink.
Ways to use gingerbread man gift tags
Cookie plates and treat tins are the obvious match. A tag on the lid tells the recipient who baked the gingerbread and keeps the plastic wrap from looking unfinished.
Teacher and classroom gifts are covered by the personal-use terms on the Rose Clearfield and Vector Dad sets. Print one letter page for each child’s initial, or one matching gingerbread house sheet for a whole class.
Neighbor drops, office Secret Santa, and party favors all work with the same sheet. Print extras. A second run takes less time than hunting for last year’s paper tags.
Black-and-white tags from the Once Upon a Printable set can double as a quick coloring activity before they go on the gift.
What to check before you print?
Confirm the license on the download page. Every set here is for personal use. Classroom use is spelled out on some pages and not on others. Do not resell the PDF, upload it to another site, or put the artwork on products for sale.
Skip pop-up “free printable” buttons that send you to an unrelated store. The designer’s own page, with a PDF or ZIP, is the legitimate file.
Older pages can still be valid. Hale Grafx dates to 2013 and Carla Schauer’s PDF file stamp is 2020, but both still offer the free download. If a button 404s, use one of the other four pages rather than a repost.
FAQ
Are these gingerbread gift tags actually free?
Yes. The five pages above offer the files at no cost. Once Upon a Printable asks for an email before sending the 18 free tags. Its larger 78-tag pack is paid, so do not confuse the two.
What size paper should I use in the U.S.?
U.S. Letter, 8.5 by 11 inches. Choose Actual size in the print dialog. Cardstock gives a tag that survives the trip under the tree.
Can I use free printable gingerbread gift tags for teacher gifts?
Yes for personal gifts you attach yourself. Rose Clearfield and Vector Dad also allow classroom printing. You still cannot sell the tags or the file.
Do I have to punch a hole?
No. Several designs leave that choice open. Tape, a mini clothespin, or a sticker dot works if you do not have a punch.
